So here is a really old photo of me. My facial expression is weird so I'm sorry, and I posted this under cosplay because I wasn't sure if there was a category for period costume. Everything I'm wearing I made myself. The smock/chemise is of bleached muslin or white cotton and the stay/corset is a combination of canvas and some tapestry I found at Walmart. The boning is synthetic whale bone (baline sp?) but with metal boning only in the back for durability. The stay is made in a traditional 18th century style and let me tell you I'm not the easiest to fit for a stay because I'm pretty tiny and it makes it harder. Some women were making 3 piece stays while mine was 5 because the fabric had to curve around a smaller diameter and quicker as well... blah, well here it is!
